1. Principle

CoverHealth GmbH takes the protection of your data very seriously. We treat your personal data as strictly confidential and protect it with appropriate technical and organizational security measures.

In principle, the use of the CaseDesk website is possible without providing personal data. For the application “CaseDesk” you register with your e-mail address and the name of your organization. Insofar as personal data is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis.

All data that you enter with us (including names, addresses, e-mail addresses and application data, etc.) will never be passed on to third parties (persons not involved in the case) without your express consent.

Persons involved in the case may view the following information:

  • The client’s reflections can only be viewed by the case manager’s physician
  • The doctor’s evaluations can be viewed by the client, the employer and the case manager
  • The employer’s feedback can only be viewed by the doctor and the case manager

Please be advised that the secure transmission of your data over the Internet (e.g., when communicating via email or through your browser) is not entirely within our control and can potentially be compromised by malicious actors (e.g., viruses). Complete protection of data from access by third parties cannot be guaranteed. We therefore recommend that you protect your computer from viruses and use strong passwords.

2. Legal basis of the processing

The processing of your data is carried out in accordance with Article 6 (1) b DSGVO (EU) for the performance of a contract. The subject of the contract is the registration and use of the web application “CaseDesk”.

3. Use of the website and cookies

You can visit the website and find out about our offers without disclosing any personal data. When you call up the website, our server collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type / browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Your preferred language
  • Referral URL (from which website you came)
  • Host name and IP address of the accessing computer
  • Date and time of the server request

These data are required for the optimization and improvement of our offer, and to recognize and ward off attackers. This analysis is done anonymously, i.e. without reference to personal data.

We use cookies and analysis tools (Google Analytics) on our website to get clues for improvements. Cookies are small pieces of text information that the website may store on your computer (this is allowed by your browser). Cookies cannot damage your computer or contain viruses.

To avoid being collected by Google Analytics, you can install the following browser plugin:

4. Retention and deletion of customer data and conversations

If you no longer wish to use CaseDesk, you have the option at any time to delete your account and thus your data or to have us delete it. To do this, contact us directly from the program.

Case data can be used anonymously for statistical purposes. In doing so, we ensure that no conclusions can be drawn about individuals and their health data.

After deletion, a backup copy is kept for 7 days. After that, only tax-related data is stored in accordance with the legal retention requirements in Switzerland, e.g. the ten-year period for keeping and retaining business records (OR 958f).

Support requests and suggestions for improvement from the program, as well as email conversations, may be archived or used to improve CaseDesk. However, they will never be disclosed to third parties, but will only be analyzed by the CaseDesk team.
